The course was very promising at the clubhouse but once we began we’re a bit disappointed. The tee boxes were not in great shape, there was quite a distance between some of the tee boxes but luckily there was very good signage. The fairways were brown and hard. The greens were awful with virtually no way to role a putt evenly without it bouncing like crazy. Brown with lots of patch spots.
Stonegate Oaks
Cart shortage presented a problem due to cart path only after storm. We decided to cancel original day and come back a day later. Staff were very accommodating then. We always enjoy playing here and look forward to next round.
Stonegate Cypress Not What It Used to Be
We played here last year when we visited the area. It was the height of Covid and it was great. Course conditions, staff, everything was perfect. We came again this year and the place was a complete disaster. I don't know how you do a complete 180 so quickly. The course had no golf carts, no range balls, no staff (not even beverages), no starter...our tee time was delayed due to the lack of golf carts and we ended at dark and didn't get to complete our round. Greens and fairways are in terrible shape. No GPS. I don't really know why anyone would pay over 20 bucks for this place. Probably wont be back.

Course in good condition but !!!!!!!
The starter offered us a slightly earlier tee time but there were not any carts. None available until 5 minutes before our booked time. The Grille was a complete waste of time, waited 1 hour for a table, 20 minutes for a drink and food arrived 25 minutes after ordering because we ordered a burger. Manager wasn't concerned and asked 'do you want the food or not'. Will not be returning to the Grille ever again.

Quirky Course with Bad Greens
The layout is a little funky. If you’re not paying attention you may miss the turn to hole #3 and play hole #17 instead (we did). There are a number of holes that just keep turning (not just a dogleg). My overriding disappointment was the terrible condition of the greens I understand that they have replaced the greens on the Oaks course. It certainly needs to be done on the Cypress course before I would consider playing there again.

My wife and I loved this course and played it again the very next day!. It was brown in certain places but that was to be expected due to drought conditions. Otherwise all was perfect! I highly recommend it!

We have played this course a few times and always found it very nice. This time the condition was not as nice as usual. But it is January.
If you're up for a challenge.
Stonegate Review:
Nice practice facilities. Friendly staff. Tee boxes were in great shape. Some of the greens were rough, but all in all, they were very true, and they held. Some are challenging, they made you putt, speed was everything. Fairways, great shape. Some of the holes took some time to get to. Lots of driving. The layout was pretty cool. You can break out the big stick. The course is going to challenge your game, so you better bring it with you. All in all? For the money, I would play there again.
We Got What We Paid For
First of all the staff was friendly and very informative. Let me start by saying we are average golfers. We played the Cypress course and were informed that the course does not come back to the club house until the 18th hole. I’ve never seen a course laid out like this. 18 holes, no cart girl and only on restroom on the course. The course layout is odd. There is a very long distance between some hole - about a 5 minute cart ride. Be prepared for a lot of doglegs. Parts of the course are wide open, others very narrow. Fairway and bunkers were in ok condition. Green in very poor condition was a lot bare spots and extremely slow. On some holes the rough is very narrow, miss the short rough and your ball is lost. We were warned that the one vending machine we saw on the course was run by Pepsi and may or may not be working - it was empty. No GPS on the cart which were not in the best of condition but did get us around the course. We played on a Saturday afternoon and only saw one other group. Was it worth the $33 we spent - yeah. Would I recommend or play this course again - no.

Looks like they had problems with the greens. Some in very poor condition.
