Located a short distance from the Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando's airport, Hunter's Creek Golf Course offered a challenging game. It was the longest golf course in Florida and has been rated among the top 75 public courses in the U.S. The course winded through stately pines and thirteen lakes. The spacious, rolling fairways and expansive, undulating greens presented interesting challenges on the course. There were also many strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that come into play on almost every hole.

TERRIBLE COURSE
I don’t expect a whole lot out of a $25 course but this was horrendous. Half of the holes the pin was legitimately in the fairway and the green was destroyed. When the pin was on the green, the grass itself was so diseased that it was like putting on cement. Not to mention the cart paths were borderline non existent.
And my favorite part: there is absolutely NO WAY this course is 7400 yds. Not even close. I am by no means an expert and on their hole that is supposedly 550 yards, I was on in three. Let me tell you that’s not possible given my skill level.
Burned out and abondoned looking
This place was in terrible shape, bunkers without sand weeds growing on the green and patchy grass throughout. Many of the greenns are being resodded so only play off of half of the "greens"
Cheap amd cheerful
The fairways and t boxes were good but greens weren’t worth putting as well as a few had temp greens on fairway grass.
I didn’t see any sanitizers in carts.
Everything But the Greens
Overall, I'm a pretty big fan of Hunter's Creek. The course is long and pretty open, with great looking fairways. This weekend, the greens looked like they were hardly maintained for the past few months. There are weeds all over, sand on the greens, and just in terrible condition. The sand traps were dirty, and really not maintained throughout the course either. Hopefully there is some new management in place, and they work actively working on restoring 3 of the greens, having temporary holes set up.
Will Never Play Again
Arguably the worst course conditions I ever played. Weather was great and course layout was good which accounts for the stars, otherwise it was a zero stars.
Couse looks like it has been abandoned and ready to close down. About 4 greens has the had the pins in the fairways because the green were closed. Which is OK if they are working no the course, but no mention of it when checking in so my GPS on my approach shot was off considerably. No effort to make the temporary pins even remotely puttable.
Working greens were a mess. Not mowed and weedy.
Bunkers had little sand and most were full of grass and weeds. T boxes also all weeds and not level.
Pace of play was great because it was empty on a Sunday morning.
Its sad I suppose; maybe COVID has killed this place. This could be a great course. Nice layout, lots of water.
But never again.
Horrible...
Not even one green was in good condition. Worse yet, around 5 to 6 holes did not even have a greet at all, they just cut the grass lower on a spot close to the rough area and put a hole and a flag. This was even worse then a bad green. It was just horrible over all. The course layout has always been great, only if maitnance would be up to par this place would be beautiful as it was before. Too much money for what you get. This has nothing to do with Coronavirus, they dont even have restrictions placed. Remington Golf Club for example has better conditions, better service and for a fraction of the cost. Hunters Creek will never be like before unless a new company that cares run it. R.I.P Hunters Creek Golf Club...
The course layout is great but the owners let the conditions go downhill. The guy in the pro shop said they had just sold and the new owners are working on making the improvements. They did have a few of the greens closed and temporary's in(kind of a joke) but hopefully they do succeed in making the much needed repairs.
Need to Invest the money back into the course, couldn’t tell if you were putting on the green or in the fairway.. rather put from the sand traps
Dumpster Fire
Pace of play was very fast because I was the only person dumb enough to be out there playing this dump. The only thing this place needs is a bulldozer. Save your money and play somewhere else. Anywhere else!!!
Greens in Very poor condition 5 of them none existing. Very poor conditions but lay out is nice
They fixing it up!
had to write another review after the first time i played here. looks they are finally doing improvements to the course. few of the greens are under repair looking like they are gonna re-sod them! that’s good news to me! also all the roughs have been brought down a lot! i hope they keep this up and bring this course back up to “par”!
