Located a short distance from the Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando's airport, Hunter's Creek Golf Course offered a challenging game. It was the longest golf course in Florida and has been rated among the top 75 public courses in the U.S. The course winded through stately pines and thirteen lakes. The spacious, rolling fairways and expansive, undulating greens presented interesting challenges on the course. There were also many strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that come into play on almost every hole.

Hot Deal
Only paid $20: 00 but wasnt worth it fairways burnt up , 3 or 4 greens out of play flag in front of greens not able to putt to hole they made, , greens very bad shape, , could be or at one time was a good course layout of course good , but has been let go. Very poor
Forget it!!!
If you can’t say something nice, you shouldn’t say anything!!?? Nice electric carts! 5 temporary greens, no grass on the other greens, nice tee markers! Firm fairways.
Will never play there again
I’ll start off with saying I’m certainly no pro. Here my feedback in one sentences. Poor condition of course, subpar staff, grumpy locals. Pay the extra $5-10 and go somewhere else.
Hunters Creek
The course was in terrible shape from tee box to green, as follows:
* Tee box - need water and grass
* Fairways - hard, need water and grass
* Sand Traps - very little sand, weeds and bunker walls were collapsing
* Greens - 4 temporary greens which nothing more than a flag in front of the green. The remaining 14 greens were in poor shape as well (bumpy, dry, weeds, bald spots and bad sod patches)
Worst course I’ve ever played. Has footgolf too whatever that is, maybe that’s why the conditions of the course is so bad. More than 5 greens that doesn’t work and they made even worst temporary green. Highly not recommended F++++++
CLOSE IT DOWN
If you are going to operate a golf course, you have to maintain it with staff and water and tlc.
None were apparent when I played today.
Conditions of the T boxes and fairways were awful and the greens were beyond deplorable.
AND there were 4 temporary greens.
I won't be back.
Nice layout
The course is currently under repair with a number of temporary greens, none of the greens are really puttable. However they are working on it. I look forward to going back in the spring when some of the work is finished. Very friendly staff, nice layout and and fairly priced.
Most of the greens were in bad shape and there were four temporary greens.
My how the mighty have fallen!
Hunter's Creek used to be a decent course, not the best, but definitely not the worse...well things are leaning towards the worse side now. I now wish I had read the other reviews before booking because it appears the course has been this way for a while. There were temporary greens on about 5-6 holes, they just stuck a flag in a hole and cut a 10-foot circle around it. I only paid about $25, but I feel like I've been had. The pace of play was good on the front, but once I made the turn, it was at a virtual standstill, the wait was so long on the 11th hole that the guy in front of me left because he was still close to the clubhouse.
Waste of money
When we checked in, we were told that 4 of the greens were temporary, but in all actuality they all were in very bad shape. Probably 5 had some grass and weed patches. The remaining greens were just dirt with spots of grass, which you couldn't be putt on. The fairways were very dried out. The pace of play was slow, we passed a 3some up but got stuck behind a 4some that never waved us (2some) through, and once we decided to skip a hole we got caught behind another 4some of hackers. They all displayed poor golf course etiquette. It's a shame because the course has a nice layout.
Needs more work
This course need alot of green repair. They were spot seeding a few greens but they were bad. Tee box were ok and fairways and rough were good and maintained well. Staff was extra friendly. Over all I would play it again in a few years to give them time to fix it up.
The worst
If you want to throw your money away go play here Hunter's was always a great place and now not even worth the drive
STAY AWAY
Please do not be fooled by this picture as this course hasn't looked like this in decades. It needs to close asap and stop screwing people out if their money.
Over Ran
Hunters Creek has a great layout. Been looking forward to playing this course for awhile now. Unfortunately this course is over ran, course is in terrible shape. Greens are choppy / large sand patches on Greens / sand traps are muddy and weedy. Very disappointing. The “cart girl” drove right by us twice - never stopping or ever asking us if we wanted anything ??? Looked like she was mad to be there ?!? So sad that I finally got a chance to play this course - just to be disappointed......
It is a great shame that they let such a beautiful course go down hill. Hopefully they will take these bad reviews to heart and invest the time / money and bring it back to what it used to be ..........
Needs work
Course needs alot of work. Green were unplayable.
I wouldn't recommend playing this course til it gets back to the way it was back in the day
A Joke
I cannot believe this course is open. It wasn't even worth the $27 I paid on golfnow. 4 greens were off limits and makeshift holes were in the fairway. Not a single green was even in average condition so putting was a crapshoot. Management is no existent as there was no staff in the shop when I arrived to check in and there were 2 guys playing out of 1 rented bag in front of us. First time playing and I will never go back.
