Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course at Walt Disney World® Resort is a classic country club course with a distinctive atmosphere. In the words of architect Joe Lee, it is "exciting, challenging, yet fun to play."

Disney's Lake Buena Vista is a meandering golf course that winds its way through pastel villas, dense pine forests, palmettos and sparkling lakes. Lee's design is characterized by small, slightly elevated, well-protected bunkered greens that force the golfer to make accurate shots to score well. The beautiful seventh hole has an island green to shoot at that will challenge any golfer.

The golf course is short and tight, but the views and fairways are wide and open. Disney's Lake Buena Vista measures 6,819 yards from the blue tees, with a course rating of 72.7 and a slope rating of 128.

So I played this course through the sunrise 9 special, which is an excellent promotion. Although the course was wet (cart path only) and greens had recently been punched, it was a very enjoyable experience.

When deciding whether or not to play during my vacation, i was almost swayed not to, by reviews about poor rental clubs and some negative interactions with staff.

Thankfully my golf addiction needed to be satisfied and i decided to go ahead and play. Much to my delight, the staff was great, and my cart was fitted with a brand new set of Taylor Made M2 clubs, from driver all the way down.

So, while the course conditions weren't what you might call pristine, they were still pretty good and the overall experience was excellent. Disney is top notch and they prove it time and time again.
