Two tone greens! Photo submitted by webelos on 05/15/2014
Decent Course
Course staff were extremely friendly. We did a doubles but had to play with a group (two random people) which was the first time I’ve done that. They were more seasoned golfers and we were not so although they were friendly, it didn’t allow for us to enjoy the play at our rate. Probably won’t play there again due to that.
a true gem!
This is one of the better courses I've played this winter. Well maintained fairways and nice greens for this time of year. Although it was busy, pace of play was good. I attribute this to having a marshal on the course. The employees were very friendly and professional. Looking forward to my next round here.
STUNNING course and great value!
My experience with Cypress Head from start to finish was absolutely exemplary. I was on holiday from England and wanted to play a round whilst in Florida, so booked a round through Golf Now for a decent price. I was greeted with very friendly service from Ken, and my TaylorMade rental clubs were excellent. The cart was brilliant and the round included a range token and 2 ice cold bottles of water. The course was in excellent condition and the scenery was fantastic. There was a good variety of holes which presented a challenge with plenty of water hazards, but the back 9 had some more open fairways to let the driver loose on! Unfortunately my only gripe was that the pace of play was very slow, but the club cannot be blamed for this and I was playing solo.
The pro shop was well stocked and items were reasonable priced. The fully grass range was a brilliant area to loosen up before the round, and I even had the cart brought to me personally, just as I’d finished warming up!
Overall an extremely positive experience and I’d love to play there again sometime! I’ve been missing Florida every day since returning to miserable rainy England.
Check receipt
GolfNow folks need to check receipts when paying at clubhouse. I was charged an extra $21 and change, when I checked in. Only after checking the receipt did I notice the overcharge. Eventually it was worked out, but I didnt get a very good explanation as to what exactly caused the overcharge.
Aside from that the course is in good shape, not much roll if you don't hit the green with your approach. it was still fairly damp from recent rains.
Fun and Challenging Course
Course is pretty open but still challenging. Lots of character. Staff very friendly. Was cart path only due to rain but the course was not muddy or sloppy. Would definitely play here again and recommend!
Love playing Cypress Head
This course is in very good condition. Everything was great. It’s a bit challenging so I will definitely spend more time practicing with my new Aim Master Golf Training Aid before I come back. I can use the practice and the Aim Master is awesome.
Nice shape
Course is in good condition. Greens rolled well. Alittle bumpy. This course didn’t have one straight putt all day. Sand was hit or miss but better than most local courses. Overall well worth the money and well taken care of. The attendants were super friendly and helpful. I’ll be back
Best conditions around
The course is in great condition with the fairways and greens looking beautiful. Today was cart path only which was the only negative but if you can control your shots to alleviate having to walk to the opposite side of the fairways, you can keep the pace up. Unfortunately, we were behind a threesome that had to do a lot of walking which drug out the round to over four hours. Regardless of that, this is the best course in the area, quite comparable to LPGA for far less money. I definitely recommend playing here.
Excruciating slow play
1.5 hours to finish 4 holes. 4 some in front of us literally rolled the ball on 50% of their shots. The three fellows I had the misfortune of playing with weren’t much better. Won’t go back. Nice course but in bad need of a ranger.
Great place
I really enjoyed the course. Staff was super friendly
Very Nice!
Cypress Head is a very nice course and in great condition. It’s challenging to say the least.
I will practice more with my Aim Master training aid before I come back.
Overrated too much for sure.
Nothing is worth 4.6 or 98 point grade as GolfNow shows. Not even close. I went there due to the high rating and felt cheated with huge disappointment. Rating should be less than 4 or lower than 86.
Loved the layout and course was in great shape
I really enjoyed this golf course, definitely worth it. Course was in great shape, lots of water, nice challenge, I will play there again.
fast front nine slower back
Our twosome arrived early and were allowed to tee off early. Front nine was super fast, didn't wait once. Back nine was more typical for the course. Course was in good shape.
