The course laid out well.
Very nice to play. The greens are true and fast. The staff is very friendly. My wife and I had a wonderful time and plan on going back again soon.
Had a great time.
I made reservations for two via GolfNow on the net. Got a great discount. Check in was quick and friendly. Got right on the Tee with no wait and had a splendid round of golf. Only lost one ball, and stayed out of the water. What can be better?
Thanks All!!!
one of my favortie courses to play anytime.
great course.one of my favortie courses to play anytime. greens we in okay shape. fairways nice. it is always a good give and take on the easy holes and the challenging ones. beautiful surroundings. have played there for many years, and will continue to play there.
Rolling Hills
Yesterday was a busy day on the course, so busy that I ended my round on the 14th hole on the back nine. When I arrived for my tee time, they should have been alternating golfers teeing off on the front and back nine. Instead they sent everyone out on the front nine. By the time I got to the 7th hole there were 5 groups of golfers waiting to go. On the 10th hole there was 4 groups waiting and again on the 14th.
As a single golfer yesterday I didn't appreciate being paired up with a twosome; if I wanted to play with others I would have.
To the management at Rolling Hills: when the course is as busy as it was yesterday you really need to alternate between golfers starting out on front and back nine. I'm also confident that many other golfers feel the same way.
All in all, great course for the money and it decent shape. Greens are good, fairways too.
unfriendly
Course was interesting and in decent shape. Did not care for lack of customer service. Not very friendly.
Great for the price!
I mean it was the day after christmas and the fee was $13.50 with cart for 18 holes. I have been playing this course since 2010 and the greens are the best I have seen so far. It is winter so other asthetics were not as important. Clean cart. The shop attendant let me check in early and get started. Not super friendly but not dismissive either. I miss placed my umbrella and it was found and waiting for me at the shop, that was a $35.00 save, and impressive I thought, to get it back! It would be worth it, with those results, everytime.
Fun and challenging.
The course was in very good condition and the staff was extremely friendly. There are plenty of sand traps and water hazards to challenge both the experienced and average player.
great short course
course was in great shape. greens rolled well. good short course
Could be a great course.
The fairways were in very good shape. The greens were in very bad shape,it was like putting on thick carpet. If the greens were cut real short,as they should be, I would give the course 4 stars. We always play a foursum.
nice place last year!
Greens were patchy and needed mowed badly.
Large angry dog running loose around 9 tee.
Skipped teeing off on this hole.
Will not go back - too many good courses close by.
greens deper than the fairways?
I Play rolling Hills because it is close to home. Usually I recommend This golf course because the greens are in good condition, the rest of the course is average. Sunday play and I couldn't putt hard enough to get through the thickness of the greens. I have sworn off the course due to the person behind the counter, I have played the course easily 20 times, and I feel like I am a bother to him I don't get it.
I love this old course, built in 1927! Greens were sanded and winter grass was growing in and very shaggy. This was not shown on your site.
Normally this course is less than perfect but a great layout, very challenging, a very good test of golf, requires every shot in your bag, and to score well, requires good course management.
I know this is not normal for this course,
Unfortunatly, I probably will not be back anytime soon. In the past few years, the proshop staff seem sullen and almost resentful of intrusions, by patrons of their course.
Beers and a sandwich after the round proved there are some emplyees, who understand great service.
The course has character but needs work.
Clubhouse smelled like cigarettes. Course needs grass. Hard and compacted fairways. Restrooms on back nine were both out of order. Golf cart died on hole 14. Very disappointed for the first time playing there.
Course has gone downhill since the spring of 2012
I knew I was in trouble when I pulled into the parking lot and there were only 5 cars there. First problem - they were overseeding front nine so it was closed. Soooo .... had to play the back nine twice, which doesn't seem so bad. BUT the course has really gone downhill. Greens were all brown (overseeding not a moment too soon). Evidently there were dead spots on the greens, so they were spot sanding them. In some case they didn't even rake the sand out - left little piles. The traps in a number of cases had mud in the bottom from the summer rains. Those with sand had minimal sand. And the fairways - in the dictionary under the word "Pasture" there would be a picture of Rolling Hills fairways. Minimal grass, lots of weeds, and the grass that was there was brown. Frankly it looked like a course that was just about to close. But perhaps things will get better after overseed kicks in.
Value & a couple of challenging holes
It is a neighborhood golf course. Open to the public. There are a couple of challenging holes. The course needs work: sand needed in traps, fairways has clumps of weeds, and tree limbs on ground from storms. However, with the poplular winter season approaching, course maintenance has been increased. Bottom line: you get much for your money. For example, add a golf lunch to green fee for $3.
Hills in Florida?
Yes. That's correct. This course does indeed have rolling hills. For a Florida course there are a load of elevation changes which bring great texture to the track that you don't usually find in the Sunshine State. The first hole alone (straight away par 4) is a 15-20 foot incline from tee to green. 10th hole is up 10-12 feet and then down around a corner 10-15 feet at least. 18th second shot down hill 20 feet and over water. This is to only name a few. I was pleasantly surprised with the value of this course as it is very well kept and the facilities are nice albeit slightly aged. I drive through Orlando often for work and always pack my clubs to stop at Rolling Hills for at least 9 holes because the location is perfect. Five minutes off the I-4. Check it out and enjoy.
Nice views
Fun old style course in nice well kept neighborhood with rolling hills like name which is not that common in Fl.
nice course needs some work
Nice course great deal but greens are very dry and long but will play there agin for $9.00
Poor conditions
Not a bad track, just a neglected course and run down facility. Many bare spots and sandy areas along the rough and some weeds in the fairways. Greens were not cut and extremely slow.
