Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club

Course is one of the most interesting in central Fla. There are no flat putts. We played on a friday and yet it wasn't crowded. The fairways could use some T-box maintenance and quite a few greens could use maintenance.

the course needs some work but has done great since the first of the year. greens are being worked on and are getting there. back nine greens are much better. the price (12.00) and pace of play( 2 hours for 18 holes) was great! challenging holes, cant wait for it to get back into top form. bald eagle nest past 15th is a bonus.

More elevation than most Florida courses which makes this course a nice change. Would absolutely recommend.

I was so pleasantly suprised with this golf course. Its a drive for most people and thats proabably why the rates are so low. That and the fact there are some more famous courses in the area that probably steal business. This course is all about value. Nothing overly great about it, but you cant beat it. Tees and greens in great shape the rest about average, but there are elevation changes! And it is very pretty. Wildlife is great, theres rumor of a bear that lives on one hole and I personaly saw owls and eagles. Apparently there used to be 27 holes there but due to funding they converted one in to a disc golf course that they dont have to maintain much. Oh and one last thing! I went on a Saturday at 10 in the morning and there were maybe 8 cars there. Most of which were just guys practicing on the range! Go play this hidden gem! Support cheap fun golf!

Playable, but the greens are often bumpy, and some have bare spots. It will be a lot better in a month or two. I really like the layout, but didn't play it for about 2 years because the owner let it rot. Now it looks like it will rejoin my rotation by summer.

The Course has improved conditions since I last played it. The greens are much improved and should be very good in a couple of months. The fairway and rough could use attention, lots of bare spots. I enjoy playing here, the course is very challenging. The slope on the greens make good putting very important. The food in the restaurant was good. I will be back to play again.

What a fun round of golf! The elevation changes and sloping of the course is a nice change of pace from most central Florida courses. Large greens add a challege to the round. The layout is fun as you have opportunities for risk / reward shots and you get to hot all the clubs in your bag. The greens on the west course are in good shape and the north course has playable greens. Great value and I would reccomend this course to anyone looking for a new place to try it!

This is a great track and would get more play even in current condition if -- IF-- some of the greens were redesigned to remove some of the unfair slope built into the original greens surface.

The course had some bare spots on the greens particularly on the front side. This may have been a result of the heavy rain the day before our round.

I have played the course a number of times before. I was sorry to see that they had to close 9 holes. This course has one of the best layouts and elevation changes around . The bunkering is very adequate and not too punishing for the ladies and the Higher handicappers.
It is evident by the stocking of the Pro Shop that they are not overly busy or enjoy a large membership.
The condition of the course was not as good as it used to be but was adequate for play.
The greens showed signs of stress and an atttemp to patch them up with inserts of grass.
Great layout, needs more TLC.

Rock Springs Ridge has always had a great layout but it had fallen on hard times in the last few years. It seems as if they are trying to bring back the course to good condition. Most of the greens are in pretty good shape - and with the pin placement on these undulating, sometimes huge greens, putting can be quite tricky. Playing from the gold tees (not even the back tees) at 6700 yards made for a challenging course. The fairways are still in need of improvement as is the driving range. Pace of play bogged down at times - a ranger would've helped speed up some of the slower groups. All in all, with the hot deal of the day on Golfnow, it was well worth the trip. Also, Josh in the clubhouse was extremely helpful. Hopefully, RSR continues to pump resources into the course to bring the conditions up to the level of the layout.

A few of the greens had some brown splotches but all were challenging and fun. The elevation changes and dog-legs really made the course interesting. Houses around the course were not tight to the fairways so the course felt more open.

Ok value, greens were just ok. Course was keep ok.

This was my first time visiting this course, and playing as a twosome we had a fun time. The greens had a couple rough patches here and there, but overall the course was in pretty good shape. The gentleman working the pro shop was extremely attentive and nice. I heard from another player that grouped up on the back 9 with us that a few months back that the course was a lot worse a few months back. Whatever they're doing to improving the condition is working. I would definitely go back. The layout is good, and it was a great value for anyone in the Orlando area.

Such a disappointment. As far as course layout and hole placement my group was rather impressed but due to the lack of upkeep and and the overall condition it is just wasted potential! This course had the worse and fastest greens I have ever played on and if u add the giant patches of dead/missing grass on the greens it made putting near impossible. We also had a group of 5 playing in front of us which obviously slowed the rate of play considerably! After booking out round thru golfnow. Com we called the pro shop to see what type of food was offered, we were given the menu and informed we could order lunch on the 8th tee box and pick it up on the turn. When placing our order we were informed that the kitchen was closed for a wedding reception which was pretty upsetting since no one in our group ate lunch as we planned on eating at the course. I feel we should have been informed of the kitchens closure prior to teeing off. All together a very disappointing day and course and I do not plan on ever playing there again and would not recommend it to anyone!

Challenging course. The greens are in fairly poor shape. Speed okay but patchy bad spots. For around $ 20 with a cart a great value to start our vacation after not playing for a few months. The pro said they had a record amount of players the day we played so it was a little slow.

The course was in pretty good shape. Some of the greens needed work, but there were no pin placements in the rough areas. The staff was cordial and the pace of play was fairly good. It was certainly a great golf outing for the money, and I will return again soon.

We had a peaceful game without being pushed along and rushed. I truly enjoyed the course.
