Palisades Country Club

We would not come to Orlando without making the trip over to Clermont to play this course. It suffered a little a couple of years ago for condition but is now well on the way back to its best. The restaurant now is great food I can vouch for that . try it and enjoy

We have played this course two years ago. Couldn't believe it was the same course! Only played 8 holes then it was enough, sorry to say. Nothing was good on the course, but friedly people around the course. The carts made much noise and smelled. No moore!

The course has an interesting layout with many unique holes and elevation changes. The par 3's are long from the whites (6700 yds) and many of the greens are small. The condition of the fairways and tee boxes were poor with the greens in average condition (slow) as the rye grass was still thick and green. This course could be a real winner with some attention to the conditioning.

We played the course as we heard it was under new management. If it is, nothing new has been done to the grounds under the new management. Greens were pretty good, but the fairways were very dried out and not much better than a pasture. Hitting off of grass was a rarity rather than the norm. We thought the pace of play could have been better. The twosome in front of us were slow and never gave a thought of letting anyone play through. There open holes in front of them. Be a while before we go back.

Interesting course and it turned out to be a pretty good test. Course was in descent condition and greens were putting well although some looked as if they were in final stages of healing some previous issues. There was no beverage cart on a pretty warm day and water on the course was scarce. Pace of play was slow with a slight wait on each shot. Overall a fun course to play and one that can test your game. I recommend that you try it but don't be in a hurry.

Greens need work. 30 per cent chance of making 3 footer. Tee to green is worth course.

I found the course to very challenging with beautiful lake views throughout. However, the greens were terrible with many dead areas and some of the slowest I had played on in my life.

I have been coming to Winter Garden for over four years and this is the first time I discovered this course. We had a great time. The greens are fighting a fungus that the groundskeeper is working on. The greens were slow and a bit long. I have played under similar conditions up here in NW Indiana because of the same conditions. It made the greens slow and just another thing you will have to adjust for. I will play this course again and would encourage anyone to give it a try.

I like the course but there were no ball cleaning station nor water at any holes, no snack lady, with that said everything else is pretty good. Got a rain check because we didn't finish due to severe weather.
Like the 11th hole very challenging, come early.

A pretty challenging layout. Good staff and quite reasonable pace of play for a weekday. Would have been nice to know that they were sanding the green but it was good to see them doing some maintenance. Not the course if you are looking for weed free velvety fairways. Not your tier 1 type course. But a good price/quality ratio. Nice course layout-- but, the greens especially were a bit rough. I enjoyed myself enough to play it again.

Nice layout with some difficult holes. Greens could use some work buth overall a nice course.
Will return to play this course again..

The course was great and the pace of play was excellent. What made my experience there was the staff. It started with the Bag Drop off girl, to the retired New Yorker at the start and finished at the restaurant/bar where the bartender, cooking staff made the end of your day extraordinary. Met an older couple at the bar that were not even golfers that liked going there because of the staff.

The Golfing was also great :)

I have been in Florida playing Golf for 6 weeks and this is the WORST golf course I have played !! The greens are horrible and the golf course needs an infusion of cash , I have played it twice now , my first and my last !! just outright awful !!

I understand the greens are to be resurfaced and that will improve the putting quirks.
The fairways also need work, especially shaded areas where fairway grass is not filling in.
With some improvements, this can be one of the most enjoyable courses in Central Florida.

Great course some interesting holes and some challenging holes

Great course, outstanding staff. Have played this course 4 times, will play again on my next visit to central Florida.

My husband and I really enjoyed this course, fairways and green in good condition . Golfed with a nice couple formerly from Connecticut . Will be back again during our stay in Davenport. Would recommend it to others, not too difficult a course for beginner golfer. Thanks

My 15 yr old son and I are just average players so we were looking for a course that wasn't too challenging. This course was perfect. Nice wide fairways and not too much water or scruff. The front nine that we played was in decent condition with only a couple of the greens needing some work. The holes we played were tough enough for us and we really enjoyed the fact that we were able to go at out own pace and weren't rushed. My son liked that the holes weren't too long for him. We will definitely be going back.

Nice layout with some extremely tough holes for the high to mid handicapper. Met some very nice people here from up north who praised the locals and staff.
I will return to play this track when we return.
