Poor course conditions
Horrible greens
Fairways were below average
Worst part, by far, was the tee boxes - not level and had either tall grass or dirt
Ragged & Wet
Sitting right on Lake Orlando itself, this course has a lot of water present, most bunkers were wet and muddy..greens were bad to truly pathetic..some fairways are tight and need an extreme amount of attention..this course shows its age..back9 was more enjoyable than front..cheap rates match its low quality..driving range also needs work, you hit floaters in to the lake ..
Cheap and cheerful course.
Shortish course protected by many bunkers and water allowing you to either make a good score or lose many balls. There is a lot of run on the fairways because they are dry, hard and bare in places. Some of the greens and tee boxes need attention. After saying all that the layout is excellent and good value for money. We will definitely play it again.
worth playing
This course as are most inexpensive venues needs some work on the fairways...greens are in pretty good shape except the putting green. There is lots of water and narrow fairways so making shots is critical. I had a good round going until hole 8 then fell a part with out of bounds shots. The trees are quite pretty and plentiful and got in my way a lot.
condition for price is great
the course is a challange and position off the tee is essential. a couple of greens need some work overall a good course to play
In poor shape
A fortnight ago we played the course. It was alright then. This time, the course had deterioriated. The front nine are in a bad shape, especially the greens
Poor playing conditions
This course has a decent layout, nice collection of holes, well bunkered with lots of water hazards, but most of the course has brown or dead grass or bare spots and preferred lies are the norm. The greens are mostly brown, extremely hard and bumpy.
Central Orlando Location
Great layout offering challenges to golfers of every level.
price is right
low cost, ok course. fairways a bit dried out, greens very hard and fast, hard to hold. tee boxes need work, uneven and little to no grass on many.
Great layout, greens and teeboxs/fairways need some love
I honestly had fun on the course. The putting green prepared me for horrendous greens, but turned out to be better then the practice green thankfully. The greens respond like they have concrete beneath them. Ball marks were few and far between. They were not slow, putts ended up off the green if it missed the cup on a downhill putt.
The course at one time was obviously an amazing course. The layout would prove challenging lots of interesting bunkering that throws off your depth perception. The clubhouse and cart barn and entrance gate all look of grandeur passed, with a fresh coat of paint would really add some sparkle, but obviously start with the course.
Bring your own water there is none available on the course besides the 2 for 1$ bottles in the clubhouse.
The range is really abysmal. has a set of mats.. that are long past their useful lives, and a grassy area.. with more sand than grass. And you just hit the balls into the lake, they are not floater balls so you have some interesting range balls as well.
For 13$ I cannot complain too much, I would be upset if I had paid more then that.
golf for under 10$ on monday
THis course is well worth the price. Its less than 10$ and the greens are way better than twin rivers golf course.
Interesting course. Conditions are not perfect but ok
Very interesting course layout. Greens and fairways are ok (not as bad as I read in some reviews). Some of the tee boxes need improvement. Nevertheless I will come back. Good value for the money.
great value enjoyable round of golf
I will be going back again on Monday's great experience
Poor Condition
This course is just sad. It looks like a "park" that has not been maintained in years. I enjoy golf and being outdoors, but we couldn't wait to get off this course. And, the guy at the front desk/pro shop is just not friendly, not sure why. I understand it's a a cheap course, but I'd rather pay more for a better experience.
I have made a mental note to not return here.
I wish them the best of luck.
Ok, needs improvement
This course is ok, needs much needed improvements in the greens and bunkers. Its cheap to play and the GPS in the carts are nice.
Worth playing
The course has some interesting holes some difficult.in places the course was very wet but no cart restrictions in place. Good value for money
Bring a few extra golfballs.
a very challenging course(for beginners like me) but great price and great staff.
great design
Lake orlando requires percision and mental toughness. Its design rewards accuracy and punishes reckless bravado. This course has it all from challenging par 3's, awesome par 5's, water comes into play on many holes, and has greens that require solid reads to pay off.
Good course to practice your iron play...
Small greens and tight fairways make it a good course to practice your iron play. Try to go late in the week or weekends, cuz' by Tuesday you'll be breaking your wrists in the rough. I think they only cut on Thursdays, but I couldn't get them to admit to that. In any event, not a bad course for under $20. And it's close to everything Orlando!
