Deer Island Golf & Lake Club is unique in that it is a 400-acre course with a lake surrounding it from all sides. The unique island location of the golf course winds through environmentally protected Florida wetlands, providing beautiful scenery as well as abundant wildlife. The Deer Island Golf & Lake Club layout features strategically placed sand bunkers that surround the undulating greens and wide fairways. Water also comes into play on most holes. One of the most challenging holes is the par-3 13th hole, which requires a tee shot that must carry the entire length of the lake and usually the tricky crosswinds that sweep Deer Island Golf & Lake Club make it even more difficult.
